    Vinyl Wrapping A Defender...........

I've often wondered if it would be possible to wrap a defender successfully, this video seems to confirm that you can I think it looks great.

Unfortunately as he takes his pride and joy off road it gets bumped by the Pinzgauer in front. Now that would really .... me off

Gromit68 wrapped his Series IIa completely white, then added black zebra stripes over the top. Defenders are no great step away from a Series...

I'm about to have the flares on my Defender done. I'll be taking them off so the guys can do it properly.
I'm also wondering about getting some kind of graphic done too. Not sure what I want yet, but looking for ideas.

A few years ago I met the guy who drives the tow car (Nissan) for the mobile podium for the Targa series. The car had the entire front wrapped. This allowed them when they wanted to trade it in, to just rip off the wrap, and the paintwork would still be like new.

Looks good if you're planning on sticking to the black top. Go off-road and I bet it wouldn't look so pretty after you snag the first branch on a tight track. I bet stone chips would be a problem too..

Quite the opposite, I would think. I had a similar wrap on my race sidecar for quite a while, as it would get stone chipped very badly, until I got it wrapped. It even kept the shattered fibreglass together after I t-boned another sidecar.

Cool, looks like a good product then. Better to have stone chips in the wrap than in the duco!

The wrap flexes so doesn't even get stone chips.

A lot of people are doping this from new to keep the paintwork good.

I'm looking at getting the bonnet done in satin black, maybe the rest done on orange or blue. Or orange and blue

The wrap is a good thing and great for company cars where advertising material can be put on and simply removed afterwards.

I've a mate who does this in Sydney , mainly on motorbikes and they look great.
