I'm about to have the flares on my Defender done. I'll be taking them off so the guys can do it properly.
I'm also wondering about getting some kind of graphic done too. Not sure what I want yet, but looking for ideas.
A few years ago I met the guy who drives the tow car (Nissan) for the mobile podium for the Targa series. The car had the entire front wrapped. This allowed them when they wanted to trade it in, to just rip off the wrap, and the paintwork would still be like new.

SupporterLooks good if you're planning on sticking to the black top. Go off-road and I bet it wouldn't look so pretty after you snag the first branch on a tight track. I bet stone chips would be a problem too..

Quite the opposite, I would think. I had a similar wrap on my race sidecar for quite a while, as it would get stone chipped very badly, until I got it wrapped. It even kept the shattered fibreglass together after I t-boned another sidecar.Originally Posted by iClick

A lot of people are doping this from new to keep the paintwork good.

The wrap is a good thing and great for company cars where advertising material can be put on and simply removed afterwards.
I've a mate who does this in Sydney , mainly on motorbikes and they look great.
