    I want one of these!

    WildCat running robot is unveiled by Boston Dynamics and can run at 26kph - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

    I can think of several ways I could use it (none of them violent).

    Wow... they invented a noisy expensive .... horse?

    Only a horse is quieter and cheaper and looks like it does the same thing only better....

    It's very clever and kind of spooky though.

    You think they could have made it electric or at least 4 stroke powered, i'm sure there are a few briggs & stratton motors lying around.

    Yeah, I guess it is a motorised horse. Agree making it electric would be a good idea and keep it quiet. I'd like to train it to follow me around everywhere and carry my stuff, including the shopping.

    It may be a noisy horse or whatever but remember that the first musket ball / canon ball fired was just a noisy rock.

    Trevithick's first steam engine was dismissed as nothing more than a moving kettle but hey, what happened next?

    It's not necessarily what something is but that it can lead to that is the breakthrough.
