I will go with what Incisor said, dealply or some of the billion and one thingys . being behind firewalls and such like wont stop pups or adware much as it comes in with your content thats allowed through.

I went in that direction after those ads annoyed the hell out of me. However, in the app, you obviously can't get the full user experience that you get on the website - GIFs don't work, you can't see people's signatures, post count or location (without viewing their profile), and when you're replying you can't scroll down and re-read the topic, or choose from the smilie list. Also, the ads in the app appear through the middle of the threads, and load a few seconds after the thread text, shunting what you are reading downwards by half a screen. I'm not complaining about the ads being there (it's a free app, and those ads that appear are mostly the ones that appear in the website banner), just the manner in which they load.Quote:

Happens all the time on Chrome, though quite often there's a few minutes delay before the first ad appears. Safari seems to have them pop up less often, but I find Safari far slower than Chrome.Quote:
