No. There were only steel wheels in 71, and no range rover alloy has sufficient load capacity for a 130.
Can I safely put 71 range rover alloys on my 2003 130 defender, thanks Claude.

I thought 71 Rangies only had steel wheels.

Sorry I meant 81 pushed wrong button.
The Disco alloys shared with the Defender Xtreme were the first rated for the Defender.
Many have fitted earlier ones to them without problem.I think you will find it was 1984 for the Phase II (MY85). These were the first not to have the quarter windows on the front doors, but the alloys were only for tubed tyres even though they look the same as the '86 model which had tubeless.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Seen plenty of defenders running 3 spoke vogue wheels, personally i think they only look good on a range rover classic and not a defender, ive run disco tornado/freestyle rims on my 110 for the last 6 years with out problem and there on my heavy work trailer to[all 265/75/16], ive read that they have a different load rating but that doesnt seem to bother most.
Load rating aside, with 265x75x 16 tyres they will rub on the upper spring mount with the slightest load & turn of a corner. Not so bad with 235X85x16.
Thanks to all for your help, regards Claude . Go the Landy.
