You should be able to get both Kingchrome and Sidchrome in "Single Hex" sockets, also try Force brand from "Trade Tools Direct"
Hey guys,
I haven't rounded any bolts on the Disco for a little while but I have found Land Rover bolts easier than most to round off with a 12 point socket.
As I all my current sockets are 12 point. I'm looking for some suggestions on a reasonable set of 6 point sockets. By reasonable, I mean not SCA cheap and not Snap On expensive, something around King Chrome/Sid Chrome qualitly/price.
Happy Days.

Metrinch is another option
Metrinch Socket Set 24pc - Masters Home Improvement
I've been meaning to get a set for a while now but I have yet to come across a situation that vice grips couldn't handle.
As Uncleho said "force" from trade tools are good and can also be bought individually should you lose any
Yup! I am in the process of getting together another set of Ring & Open-enders and Double-ended ring spanners for general use as I have a set for the Series 2a,the Rangie,(SAE/AF) and the D1 uses MetricI get a lot of my good quality ones from Swap Meets and Sunday Markets,I usually buy by brand,as there are lots of people that want to sell grandad's old tools at markets, and good quality Sidchrome and Stahlwylie tools at $3-$8 each make up to a cheap good quality tool kit

For dealing with rounded off bolt heads you cant go past the Lok-On series by Kingchome.
From the King chrome blurb
The LOK-ON sockets are the ideal companion for removing rounded fasteners. Kincrome ‘LOK-ON’ sockets drive the side of the fastener using a unique subtle cam found in the 6 point socket design. This unique design not only provides increased strength but also avoids the rounding of rusted and damaged fasteners. The cam design also enables the user to effectively loosen fasteners which have rounded by up to 85%.
The ‘LOK-ON’ design helps reduce stress concentration when torqued, preventing the fastener from rounding whilst offering better torque than conventional sockets.
Kill two birds with one stone & get impact sockets , I think nearly all brands are 6 point.
Jeff.
Yeah. I found http://www.sidchrome.com.au/products...ket-set-metric- but it's just a little bit expensive ($150).
Maybe I'll shop around a bit for them.
Happy Days.
