Still Waiting for the Sky to Fall

    Hello All,

It has now been a full day since another Series 3 Land Rover parts vehicle followed me home. It was even parked right out in the open next to the other Land Rovers in my paddock. So I have been becoming increasingly restless about the chance of a sudden storm or the sky to fall on top of me. You know the bit about wrath ...

However, Leeann my wife, is still speaking to me and has said absolutely nothing about the extra item. An item which she has walked past on a number of occasions.

I was going to say that "it followed me home" which it did thanks to help from Tim J and Harry or The Ho Har's fame. Thank you very much Tim and Harry it was good to meet you and be able to put faces to names without being a crowded sea of other faces being around. Also a thank you for Paul (Pop058) for organising things and vehicle storage.

I had best keep ducking or weaving and not staying in one place because that sky could leap at me at any moment while I am least expecting it!

Or maybe there is a magic number of Land Rovers where even those nearest and dearest to you consider you as a lost cause? Land Rover Addict.

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

I think you need to check in your Wife's wardrobe or shoe closet. She has obviously had retail guilt which you have balanced out with your unauthorised buying. You never really know exactly how many handbags she has, in the same way as she never really knows how many projects you have.

The next one you get you could tell her "It's Mick's. He just needed a place to put it."

    You never walk alone...

    Lionel,

Hello from Brisbane and I hear you bro.

I have travelled this tricky path many a time with the child bride (Mrs S3ute).

Many a well-attempted ruse of putting new parts on the shelf between existing items, rolling them in the dirt for instant ageing or - when desparation really calls for it - attempt the old Rob Roy spider web trick (Mrs S3ute doesn't like arachnids much) has come unstuck with a co-oing "where did that come from"? The old "Oh, I had that before the golden dawn of our meeting" and it's transformation to "been there for years" are wearing thin after 27 years of union.

So, now it is case of simply muttering "oh, must have needed it for the dreaded restoration. By the way how is the new kitchen, bathroom, kybo, your Golf Sports service and new tyres, or S3 junior's othodontistry bill coming along"? Works better than my late Dad's "Look a two-headed cow. You don't see many of them around these days".

    Give it a try.

Failing that always fall back on to the well worn strategy of forgiveness being easier to secure than permission......

    Cheers,
