LED strip lighting - how's it work?

This stuff is sold in 5m lengths and can allegedly be cut every 3 emitters...

If one cuts a number of suitable lengths from it - how do you power it ?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

You solder a new connector on the end - available from Jaycar.

The one you have highlighted is not very good - these are better - see the connect points 5M 300 Leds 5630 Bright Strip Lighting Waterproof 12V LED Strips Strip Camping | eBay

    Thanks

(The pic was just for picture purpose not the specific product).

Seems silly to have easy-cut rolls of lighting with no 'easy connect / easy plug kind of arrangement.
