I reckon you should put something up on here a couple of weeks before next years event. Maybe some of us could try and do a trip up for the weekend.
If you know anyone with a property close by, on the river would be soooo cool , maybe they'd let a few of us camp there(?) Anyway,, food for thought
We used to camp at Freeburgh caravan park on the ovens river, about 5min out of town, nice park, quiet, a few rodders stay there. Must get up there next year, its been a while

This years rod run was much quieter than previous. The different organisers did a good job. The local people I have spoken with over the last few days all commented favorably about the more sedate event. A much more enjoyable weekend for the locals.
For those who want to put it in the diary, the weekend after Melb. cup will get you here at the right time.

Agree whole heatedly. But like the last one, it is sure to grow over the years.
