Ring the local volunteer fire brigade, tell them there's an illegal camp fire on a fire ban day that needs putting out...

I'd work through ParksVic and if inadequate response, raise matter with relevant State Govt Minister. Being from the valley myself, if you're willing I'd be keen for you to PM me the location - I promise not to take my tent up there and set it up permanently!
They shoot Feral's don't they. :wasntme:
Peregrine Adventures used to use this spot as a starting point for rafting trips. What a pain that was when we turned up to 'our' spot to find someone else thought it was 'their' spot and had brought 30 paying customers!! Fortunately they went bust early in the drought. A current colleague of mine used to work for them on those trips, tells me he left when one of the customers beat a water-dragon to death with his paddle, and the boss was upset with him for telling the guy off!
At least that mob used to take their rubbish away though.
I'd think that if their tent got "shredded" by a native animal (or an unidentified person with a stanley knife) - they'd probably think about moving on - particularly if it happened again .......... and again ..........and again ..................... :wasntme:
Thats a good idea, so that those volleys can take more unpaid time off of work and head out there, its not as if they may have a life or something??!!
(Sorry but lately we have had people trying to do this to our CFS brigades locally...and I am not amused!)
But you need to shoot them to get their shoes off to see their feet???:eek:
If no one at home I would do a busy bee and pick up all rubbish around ( and then some) and then put it somewhere safe from native fauna, like,.. in the nearby canvas receptical
It sounds like this place means a lot to you. Seen this happen a lot in the Territory. It happens as more people find the good spots.
Maybe bite the bullet and you and a couple of your larger mates could squeeze in next to them at the site. Not comfortable, but you might get your spot back. A loud stereo playing the best of the 70's might help too. Either that or find another hard to get to spot.
 Good luck.
