My Alfa was a 3l V6... a sweet motor just wanted to keep on spinning...it was very easy to hit the rev limiter. I used to wash her early on Sunday mornings and give her a blow dry on the Old Pacific Highway between Hornsby and Brooklyn. Loved the hill climb from Brooklyn heading south. You had to watch out for Ducatis coming the otherway.
As for the ergonomics I think Alfa offered an optional operation which involved cutting 300mm off the length of your legs and grafting it onto your arms!
