    I've got a feeling you can just get a normal lock off ebay :
    Lucas Land Rover Defender 90 110 Diesel Steering Lock Ignition Switch SSB301 | eBay

    and it will fit OK. $85.

    That problem you had with idling/starting back in Adelaide - what did that turn out to be? Was it a cheap fix?
