we were on our way from Double island point back to our unit on Saturday when the big hail storm hit the sunshine coast, we missed the hail by a matter of seconds we think,

we just drove down the road wondering why everyone was pulled over and had a few broken back windows, then a few seconds later saw hail the size of cricket balls laying in the grass surrounding the roads,

makes u wish car parks had taller roofs to fit in the 4wd's

Qld. in the 50's/60's?.....Yes, I was going to school in Toowoomba at that time, I used to ride my bike to school & back every day, & my bike had a Miller Dynamo light set fitted. I remember riding home one day ( & yes, it would've been about 4.00pm!), got caught in a hail storm, which created a large dent in my beautiful Miller headlamp.
