Good point Garry, so on the very remote chance it is more likely to be the V6 from the Discos……

    The new Defender?

I think that 2.2 litre engine would be needed still, ------ only as a starter motor for the main engine.

Now let's try and understand the logic.
The defender is a cottage industry as it sells only 25,000 globally yet jag with how many different models/ engines only sold 54,000 in total? 2011 figures.
Jaguar Land Rover: Made in Britain. Saved in India. Craved in China: How the group was saved...by Indian cash and Chinese drivers | Mail Online
Now you couldn't put in the 3.2 and have the defender selling more than the entire jag range could you.

    To Uniformed,
    It would have been trivetts(parramatta).
Mate lives at Penrith so I dont think he would be travelling any further than that.

I was told that the 3.2 td5 used in the Ford ranger / Mazda is a larger version of the Land Rover 2.5 td5 . All the design and development was done when Land Rover was owned by BMW . Also Land Rover used an Audi td5 for an assessment to replace the 300tdi to see how they would go , before going into production of own the 2.5 td5 . It was all to do with meeting the EU emotions ,as the 300tdi didn't meet them . Some of this info. comes from the Land Rover International Mag . cheers jimr1 .

I like the Foxtel dish on the first one, you would probably have to tow a fuel trailer, though, Bob
