That fireplace and nice sofa just had to be from the Wardroom.
We lower deck men never got niceties like that.

Got to agree with you about the old "Zac" Bob.
I did her last 12 months and decommisioning, great little ship with a huge heart.

And "Vamps", guess who has the door plaque from the "Joss'" Office bolted to the household small room door?

I can remember the wife and myself doing a dog show at Garden Island in the mid/late 70's and the Vampire was in dry dock at the time, wasn't she moored at the "Dolphens" for at time, I have a vague recollection that she had a broken/damaged back caught in pack ice we were told.

Vampire conducted the last 21 inch torpedo firing in the RAN, during an exercise against HMS London. London sent the signal, " congratulations, Vampire your torpedo passed under our bow ". The Skipper had Vamps. flat out, I thought she would shake apart, but the old girl did it easy, Bob

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Danny joined the Royal Navy during WW2, as a matter of fact, where he did his first performance in drag whilst part of a Services performance group. Bob [ some good film of old London here. Notice one of Danny's shows was called " soldiers in drag" ]
