    I remember hearing about this when it was launched. There's been much talk of the Chinese joining the space community. It's widely touted the first people to land on Mars will be Chinese.
    It might not be a Chinese mission but the most suitable candidates so far suggested have been Chinese.
    I think you may be right there Mick. The Chinese certainly have the manpower and cash to be able to do that. And the prestige they would gain for being the first would be important to them.

    Do the yanks even have a manned space vehicle programme at all now that the Space Shuttle is shelved, Last I read is that they were developing a copy of the Soviet Soyuz type vehicle


    The Yanks are hitching a ride on the Russian Soyuz to take them up to the International Space Station. American private enterprise are developing rockets to enable the Yanks to return to space under their own steam!!!

    I have seen far worse and have seen better, I thought it was decent movie for a foreign b grade movie and the **** take it does, you sorta had to be up with a few things that happen in America to get the jokes but.


    anyway yeah its a shame space travel really has just fallen away from mainstream, but then iam sure it could be massive doing a reality ty show would make it popular

    The truth is more and better science is done by robotic instrument packages cheaper than sending people up there.
    You would only send people up there as a colony, as an experiment in itself.
    In my opinion, worthwhile but we're not ready for it yet.
    Much more ground work and study to be done on Earth yet.
