Talking Is it hot enough for you?

A curious question that I have been asked more times today than I can remember. I know that comedian Carl Barron's stock response is "why, can you do something about that can you?", which seems pretty fitting.

Yes, so it was 39 degrees before ten this morning, and the gauge in the car showed 44.5 at 3pm and the thermometer on the back verandah shows 44. It's a warm day, my iPad shut itself down saying it was too hot, the PC has also turned itself off.

So What other daft (or sarcastic) responses can you think of for such a silly question?

    Here's mine:
*No, can you add another 10 degrees please, I'm not melting enough.
*Hot? You call this hot? When I were a lad, we had proper heat.
    *I blame global warming.

    I have one

"to be honest you QLD's and other states need to HTFU as NSW has had a number of 40 degree days in spring! yet we didn't die"

    hahahahah hows about that one

although I must admit a week or two a go I was moaning because it was still 32.8 degrees at 9pm...that was a hot night!!

hahahahahaha sheerluck all that heat must have you a little delirious

and even if it was Fahrenheit no doubt you will still need to HTFU as no doubt the state would shut down because you would be whinging that your frozen and dont have alpine fuel

    again we just cope

and we dont want any smart comments from WA because 40+ is much hotter when its bouncing of a mulitude of concrete buildings, not mud huts

Not delirious, no. I was driving along earlier thinking "perhaps this would have been one of those days where it would have been good to have working air-con in the car"

    Quickly dismissed that thought though.

Yeah, we don't like the cold (anything less than 20degrees) north of the border. That's time to light the woodburner!

Or any Mexicans chiming in, saying how they like their 4 seasons, preferably before lunchtime if possible.

It's days like this that the dogs don't like travelling in the Defender. If the TD5 Aircon is worse than a PUMA I don't know why they bothered. I was driving through Rockhampton yesterday and it was 46Deg C and I actually thought about winding down the windows and just getting the hot breeze.

If us QLDers are so soft how come NSW hasn't won a State of Origin for 8 years. You southerners need to learn about humidity. It's a bit toasty out and about in Townsville today. Only 35 - 36 Deg but I reckon you southerners might whinge a bit with the humidity.

    Well Mr Sheerluck.
Yes, it is quite hot enough for me, more of it will be a decidedly catastrophic issue.
You see, I'm currently staying at the Marriot beach resort in that Thai Island that the swear filter won't let me type.
So if it gets any hotter, I will be forced to get up, and move my sun lounge slightly more to the left, for some more shade. This means my beverages will take longer to arrive when the staff bring them over to me, I will be forced to adjust my airconditioned apartment when I return, which is always a chore, and too much heat will mean all the pretty girls lounging by the pool will go away.
So yes, quite hot enough, no more thank you.
    Blasted heat.

Seriously though, it's quite nice here
