Spent a hour redoing the adapter lead for a car radio in a Discovery that I'm restoring. The wires were loosely twisted together and a piece of electrical tape wound each joint, most of the tape had moved with the heat and could have shorted out.

A nice looking, expensive radio, that may be ruined, I will try it tomorrow morning to see if it still works.

At least the joints and now soldered with heat shrink on them.

Having the CPU cooling fan dislodge and on close inspection find 2 fifths of ****all paste on the core. (Genuine intel parts)

"blessed & lucky sweet honey nut spread"

Blessed & Lucky is registered in Oz and New Zealand with 1800 phone help numbers

- Even has a a website, dot com dot AU

But it's MADE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and contains peanuts, soy and peanut oils (an others?) as well as a touch of honey.


Why? - we produce our own peanuts and a couple of paste manufacturers...
She says is was cheaper...

The politicians are at fault for not having the guts (and look like a global finance experts do-gooders) to impose tariffs on that products specially when come from countries with heavy protection to their products.

Second, we we have some responsibility as well, but money does not in trees and have to make ends meet.

My whinge of the day is how we can whinge for stuffs ups out of our control leaving politics out
