The G-Wagen. Test drove a G350 in 2011 and never forgot how solid it felt with enough torque to alter the earth's rotation. Now I have one and after about a year of ownership still no getting over how awesome it is.

close running between both the ls400 and ls430, but most enjoyable is current county isuzu. had a 302 manual xb gs 4 door 'lightweight' for a time, that was fun but as the term suggests had lost lots of electrons and was returning to its natural state

5 litre wb ute was also a favourite... i tend to enjoy all the vehicles i have had/ have.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

Ohhhh that makes me green! I've always wanted a blast in one of those.

Best I've driven is an early l322, followed by the Pug 206, then my first car, a Rover 82 coupe (sd2). With the motor on 18DBTDC the bonnet would lift at 200kph to take off again!

Although, maybe the best car I will ever drive will be the L405......

The first car I bought was a Wolsely 24/80. The stock agents in S.A. used them in the 60's and said they'll sit on 100mph all day. My grandpa took them from Mundalla to Adelaide in the Chev (impala I think) and sat on 120mph all the way.

Best car I've ever driven in the L322. The most fun and the biggest smile I get is when driving my 101.

My 1953 Ferrari 212 Export was a real hoot whilst it was going. Required 8 days maintenance for 2 days driving though. The 1959 Corvette, much modified 327, Saginaw 4 speed, cerametallic brakes, was absolutely lightning fast and stone reliable. My all time favourite was the 1970 Dodge Challenger convertible, Hemi 426, 4 speed. I was never brave enough to take it anywhere near its top speed. Got married and swmbo wanted furniture, white goods, etc. No money then so the Dodge had to go. Sold in 1975 for $5,000. They now sell for near $500,000, weep, cry, moan.

Have to agree. I had an XW Phase II back in the day - it was an awesome car to own / drive.

Lately - best fun has been in son's RX7 (but I only ever get to travel in the passenger's seat ). If anything, it goes even harder than the GT did, and would out-handle it any day of the week.

Best offroad fun vehicle was my RRC 2 door - nothing any of my mates had at the time would come near it.

These days, with older bones to think about and while I still like travelling a lot with the occasional venture off the black stuff - I love driving the D4.
    Cheers .........

The highest performance (and price) was the V10 Touraeq I frequently have blats in, not really my cup of tea though. A mate's worked XB Falcon auto, yellow with racing stripes was okay, but just felt stupid to drive.
A Saab 900 paddock basher was a bit crazy but any paddock basher is fun.
The Liebherr 754 felt awesome, just wanted to go on a 6km/h rampage through the rubbish tip, but alas the sales rep was instructing...

The most enjoyable (for the first 20 minutes at least) was definitely the little Massey Ferguson with slasher, did half a paddock before I handed it back.

My County and a decent state forest or NP is my idea of utopian driving...

Well, apart from my Defender of course

Similar to Vlad, I had an XF ute 4.1 litre. It started out as a 3 on the tree manual armstrong steering, and vinyl bench seat. I put a T5 5 speed in it, and EB Fairmont seats and console, and LSD, but kept the armstrong steering. I drove it everywhere for 9 years, I even did the Gibb River road in it. Had 550,000 km's on it when I sold it to buy my BA ute. Unfortunately they don't make them like they used too.

My dad had a Liberty 4wd wagon when they first came out early 90's; it had air suspension, you could raise it by 70mm I think up to 80km/h when it lowered automatically. (Why they dropped this feature on the later models, I don't know?) It was a really good car, handled like it was on rails, and loved dirt roads.

I've driven my mates Jag a few times, (late 90's model) thats very nice

And another mate used to own an original RRC 2 door, 4 speed manual with electric overdrive. That was very good also

    For my two bobs worth

Best car is my current L322 TD6. Just so beautiful to drive.

Holden HK GTS 327 Bathurst Monaro. Awesome , What more can I say other than wish I still had it.

Holden Overlander. Still in the shed after 30 years. Love it.

'67 Mini 1000 Deluxe. First car. Just so much fun to drive. Not all that fast but what an adventure.

Mate's turbo charged SLR5000. Super super super quick. F........Q . Could light up the wheels in 3rd gear at 80 mph ++

Lada Niva 4x4. Far better than most people give it credit for. Would I buy one again, YES.

    Gary
