    BMC Dealer/s Adelaide - Mid 50s/60s/70s

    I'm hoping somebody might have knowledge or a long memory of BMC dealers in Adelaide ... I realise it's a big ask!

    Basically I'm trying to work out who sold my MG (see below) new. I've owned it for nearly a decade (already!) and I know it's history for the last 40ish years. I'm keeper number three and I'd like to know - or narrow down - who would have sold it new I believe the first owner has long since died but I do know it was bought new in Adelaide, hence the question.

    If anybody can help it will be very much appreciated

    The 3 dealers I can think of are Dave Potter Motors (Glenelg), Newport Motors (Hendon) and Jarrett Motor Co (Bridgewater) All 3 still exist in the family trees of the original owners but haven't sold British cars for a long time. Newport Motors only exists as a small wrecking business nowadays and their old Tapleys Hill Rd premises was vacated by them over 10 years ago.
