    Factory Recaro Seats

I think the online brochure has just changed? And you can now get Recaro seats factory installed. Are they suitable for FOB (Fat old Bastard) or for Yuppie Puppies ?

To buy a new Defender, or stick my head in a bucket of ice water until the urge passes

    get a defender for sure.........

don't know about Recaros in a defender.....if you are wearing full harness they might be ok, but they are very, very firm if you are moving around in them with a lap/sash belt.

I had recaros in previous vehicle and they were terrible......until I harnessed myself in ....then they worked a treat......but.....I couldn't reach the dash/radio/air/heat controls , just the wheel , stalks , gearshift and handbrake.

    Question

If ya're a bit of a "Lard Arse", I reckon you'll find them a bit tight.

AndyG.....if you buy a defender up there my brother in law will be your service manager. You should be in good hands.

Have you seen the factory fitted recaros? I'm very interested.

Dam.....I might have to visit the stealers well before I intended.

I haven't seen them, but if they are the same as were fitted to the SVX then go for it. They are very comfortable, short or long trips. It's the only SVX feature that I'd miss over a standard Defender.

Well, found a price in the uk, about 4000 each A.H market, so that's dampened the ardor, although factory may be cheaper. Planning on the def for oz to work through the bucket list before I cark it. Thanks for all the thoughts

They had Recaros from factory as an option when I got mine in 2012, dealer advised me not to go for it because it was an extra $7K and 4+ month delivery delay while it was sourced and shipped from the UK.

If you want bucket seats then there are plenty of cheaper alternatives from Autobarn, Ebay, etc..

Just get them from Recaro yourself if that's what LR charge and with that wait.
    Cheers
