    Bob, you do know Dave, rigt?
    The Malays will have an unreasonable expectation that all AULROvians can;
    Drink like a camel
    Fix anything with a nail file and chewing gum
    Take the mickey out of them and smile while doing it
    Quite a precedent!
    Cheers, BDave.

    I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

    A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    I haven't been there for fifty years. The poms were running the place then. A bottle of Tiger was the Malay dollar equivalent of ninepence Australian. Chinese men would grab your shirt sleeve in the street saying "Joh', Joh', you wa' gir? Fi dorrar, Joh'." If you responded in the negative a common response from the chokie was "Orrr, no wa' gir. You wa' boy? Boy fi dorrar." All white men were "John" or "Joh'". I believe it has been cleaned up since.

    Coming into Sambawang dockyard in 1969, you could smell Singapore before you saw it. The amount of rubbish in the channel was amazing. Better now, but not as exciting, boring, actually, Bob

    What a funny World, certainly a long way from Bugis st., back in the day. Bet they don't have the tic-tac-toe players though.
