I can't believe the self righteous comments in here. There should be more Australian shows like this.
Have people become so conditioned that they label anyone getting out there taking risks an idiot.
Are we just a country of softcocks?
These guys are very lucky having all their sponsors to enable them to produce these shows. it does show that those Toyotas are powerfull with the v8 turbo diesel engines and front and rear diff locks and well built to withstand the punishment that they are subjected to. In the heat of the moment, mistakes were made, but they were able to recover themselves safely and without too much damage done to the vehicles, thus enabling them to continue on their journey. It was good drama. A good lesson to learn also, that is, if these blokes can make a mistake(for whatever reason) like that, imagine what us mere mortals could do.![]()

Entertainment
When people make shows for the entertainment of others, they will sometimes push the boundaries. would you be excited about watching some guys tow a boat on a sealed tar road and launch it form a boat ramp. It would not have the same entertainmnet value and would quickly lose audience support. Most likely, never to be aired again.
Part one was surely a 'teaser' to encourage you to watch the show. It was great that they posted up the full story and we got to see the real events un-fold.
Some of us like adventure more than others
Some of us make mistakes and hopefully learn from those mistakes and
Some of us actually get to teach others from the mistakes that we and others have made and are wiling to share those mistakes
I say thank you to these guys, not only for the entertainment but also for the learning experience, even if it is only 'what not to do'.
The very fact that they are out there with the sponsors, putting their vehicles to the test in what some of us may refer to as 'extreme' conditions, allows the sponsors to fine tune their products to work for the average joe. We can also see the benefits of fitting certain 'aftermarket' accessories to our vehicles. without these guys, you may not even be aware of the fact that you can 'right' your vehicle with your winch or that you can join four 'snatch straps' together, or that your 'scrub bars' may protect your vehicle from expensive damage in a 'roll-over' scenario. All things that the average joe may never subject his vehicle or equipment to.
They say that 'experience' counts. Well you can have five years worth of driving around and only ever gain five minutes of experience or you can watch these guys and in five minutes have five years worth of experience.
I would like to see more guys like this and more shows like this.
Idiots, I think not.
I was most interested in why carrying momentum in to the crossings seemed to require a level 3 drifting certificate.
Rollover waiting to happen well before the recovery "incident".
Yeah, they admitted they did a dumb thing, and got out to tell the tale. Not sure who would have believed the sequence of events if the cameras hadn't been there.
Thought that was an ok watch.![]()

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

One of the big problems with these two trucks is the weight of them
They were well over loaded.
The one towing the trailer was said to be 6 ton in total with the trailer and then later they said the car was 4 ton on its own.
Also too much high weight in them too.
I live in Cleveland watch all year round and more so on holiday weekends idiots with roof racks loaded up to the hilt going over to straddie.
Oh yeah lots of weight on the roof , then lower the tyre pressures and then go playing in the sand. Not going to end well.
