where to buy safety (rated) chain and fittings ?

    Hi all,

Need a couple of safety chains to attach to the trailer. Tried repco/SCA/BCF/bunnings with no luck. Apart from ebay, where can I find that chain ?

Another question: non-welding fittings ? How is this done when the chasis is made of aluminium ?

    thank you

supercheap sometimes carry tiedown/recovery chain, this is suitable if you dont weld it. (check its listed breaking strain and check out the regs for the safety chain requirements in the ADR's before you get started)

as for fixing to aluminium, with bolt through mounts and dirty great backing plates.

I would also use crush tubes when bolting through square/rectangular section.
