Yes, Murdoch doesnt care about party politics - he just want governments who do things to help his commercial interests. Thats why he changes sides. He supported and then opposed Rudd and Whitlam. He supported Hawke, Keating and Howard because they introduced media laws to help his newspapers. He supported Abbott, but if Abbott doesn't give him what he wants, he will dump him, and Abbott knows it. Murdoch wants payback by curtailing the ABC, which is his main opposition, since he already controls three-quarters of the print media and a share of Foxtel. Murdoch doesn't care whats good for Australia, only whats good for his businesses.
