You'll be able to tell a person's affiliation to whichever side by the colour of their tie still. The sauce lovers will have red splodges down theirs.

I can remember when they either put sauce on the lid of the pie or else they stabbed the lid with the squeeze bottle and pumped it into the pie.
When I go to golden arches I have a real problem...chips without salt ( have to wait for next batch and hope they don't salt them) and coke zero without ice. Now that last one is a doozy as I am sure they are trained to scoop ice and 3/4 fill the cup so little coke is added to fill the cup. I like a full cup of what I am drinking. Jim

As for suace, I don't really like tomatoe, more of a BBQ or HP man

Out of the chains, SWMBO will only eat Hungry Jacks. And they get the "personalised" burger wrong probably 50% of the time. Not worth ever going through a drive through, because the drive through would more often than not be followed by a drive back.

Sauce? I'm not fussy. Except for some fermented fish sauce that I was served in Vietnam. That was definitely outside my taste range.

what I love is the fact that a lot of places that use to have the free sauce in a squeezey bottle had to stop providing it for a couple of reasons.

firstly ****wits who would intentionally make a mess or squirt them at walls.

secondly OH+S and foodies who would whinge if the sauce bottle wasnt immediately closed, cleaned an refrigerated... (who refirgerates tomato sauce?)

what you used to be able to buy for a couple of bucks and get a gallon of then decant and give away because a gallon would last you a fortnight now has to be purchased in single serves with pretty labels, and extra rubbish. at about 300000 times the simple easy and environmentally friendly way...

not going to go into who should be allowed to do what to whom and for how long on either of the key points but I will say that, again, this week at work one of the hygiene nasties came through and failed our section because we have a shared piece of "stick" stuck in the drum of hand cleaner to get the soap out with...

her suggestion, "you are to make sure that until a more hygienically correct solution to the soap dispensing issue is found that you wash your hands after handling the stick" got her a look that is our workshops equivalent to telling someone "you need to go and apologize to a tree"

Well in that case, make sure you wash your hands before you handle Dave's stick.

Nope, never used to be charged for sauce & never should be!!!!!!!!!
Haven't paid for sauce since they started charging for it the miserable bastards!

Maffra Bakery - still squirt sauce straight into pie from bottle - no charge. Pies aren't bad either.

Huonville Banjos - girl behind counter refuses charging for sauce given it is provided in big bottles at 'condiments' station - thinks company policy is bull$h!t - she's destined for greatness.

I'm not sure if its because I think single serve sauce is such a ridiculous development, or because I'm a massive tight ar$e, but given I have sauce in the camper all the time - I usually just squirt some on from my own bottle - I try not to be seen doing it of course!

I promise to wash my hands after touching my stick too.

you should try walking into one of those shops that sell sauce with a bottle of your own pay for your pie then sit down sauce it up and munch away...

Proper aussie shops dont care, but the ones run in less than "the oker spirit of australianisms" go right off their little monie grubbing tress...

just occasionally I like to tell them that their sauces don't comply with my dietry requirements and them making complaints against it is discriminatory, just to see the look on their faces.

when they go on about bull dust what is it I tell them peanut allergy, when the go on about their pies have the same issue I ask them to show me where that is signposted and are they aware of the penatlies for providing food that has the potential to be fatal to someone who has worse reactions than mine....

Its usually about then I get to eat my pie in peace slathered in whatever sauce I bought with me.

(Just in case, as advertised elsewhere, yes rocking the boat, especially by the judicious application of some nanny poliies regulations rules and guidlines is a sport Im attempting to take to olympic levels)
