Is it un-Australian or just plain wrong?

Well the Australian way - when I was younger - my local Milk bar Aussie owner would get a pie out of the oven then shout " YOU WANT SAUCE IN IM??" -If it was a yes, he would turn his back, plunge his thumb in the pie & squirt a generous amount of tom sauce in the hole..
Never really worried me..it cost nought. I suppose he started turning his back after someone complained..

When is a Burger 'With the lot' - not?

My gripe sort of fits in here, so I didn't start a new thread...

Being fat and lazy like I am, I grabbed take away tonight after a long week at work. Ordered some chips and stuff, as well as 2 Hamburgers 'with the lot' for me and SWMBO. Been using this chippy for years, but when I got home I discovered the unthinkable! NO BEETROOT!!!!!

I rang them up as I know the owners well and asked what happened to the beetroot - their reply was 'Sorry Gav, that's an extra now'

No dramas, I'll know for next time, even though I was a bit ticked as we always have beetroot on our burgers from there.

So, do I call the ACCC now and dob them in for false advertising???

So, does everyone else's local chippy do this or am I being ripped and should I take my business elsewhere?
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

But that's what differentiates "real" burgers from FSR fatty, salty, sugary pap (yes they are now Fast Service Restaurants!!).
I would expect it to be on all burgers, especially "the lot".

bugger pies altogether these days, i used to get my smoko at the local bakery all the time but then one day something changed and instead of that chunky meat with thick tasty gravy and one kind of pastry on the bottom and another golden coloured pastry on the top, now you can only buy these mass produced, made off site pastey white and can only be described as half sized mince filled crap. So now i just get subway with a choice of aoli, honey mustard, thousand island, etc etc sauces,

    100%!!!

I don't mind if it's a nice home-made tomato sauce in which I know the ingredients, etc etc...

But Heinz, masterfoods junk is just horrible. I don't know people can even smell it let alone eat it.

Sauce makes pretty much everything worse...

Used to work with a bloke about 20 years ago, he would always order what he called a 'maggot bag' every day for morning tea from the canteen. Always made me smile.

One morning he pulled out something a bit chewier than usual - part of a cows ear. Never got any maggots though, but you live in hope.

The blast furnace canteen was not known for its gourmet food.
