I haven't read any of his books, but I believe they're quite "entertaining", depending upon your definition of "entertaining". Quite a few people liked them, because they sold well.
I believe he wrote the books himself, he also got into painting, and his efforts here also sold well.
In later years, he appeared to have mellowed, but his son said, after his funeral, that he certainly had a few "issues".
It has been said by some, including Police Officers that knew him well, that he was quite intelligent, & would have been capable of a number of things, had he not got into crime at an early age.

Maybe Shapelle could get into cooking books that seem to be all the rage at the moment, pehaps something like "Cooking in Korobokan" or "Cockroaches I have Eaten" or perhaps she could start her own line of Boogie Board Bags made in Bali. I think they would sell particularly if they have a special sealed internal pocket for storing stuff. In fact she could do differnt models that come with "surprise" contents that you only find out about after you buy it!

Yes, he wrote several, and as far as I know the earnings were not confiscated.
