Victorian Grays Auction - Anyone gone/going to check out vehicles?
Has anyone gone (or is going) to go and check out the vehicles in the Victorian Grays Auction?
If so, I wouldn't mind some feedback on the 3 Unimogs that are up for sale.
I'd be interested in knowing if Lot 1 with 36777Kms on the speedo has had a replacement speedo, and what the real KMs are (can be found by checking the log-books - you can see the KMs sequence on all the servicing history). Also - does it have an air-conditioner? Looks like there is a black box forward of the gear lever that is suspiciously like an airconditioner, but I've never seen an army Unimog with A/c before.
Any other general comments on all 3 units would be interesting, and if you can scan the log books of all 3 to see what the service history is like, that'd be good too.
Thanks

That would be great - thanks.
I got a call from Judo who went to visit there yesterday, but he just looked at the mogs in passing as I think he's after a 110. He thought Lot 1 was was the best of the 3, and he even started it up.
Would be interested to hear how much blue smoke comes out when its started if you get to do that.

No worries, I'll photograph the service books. They were a bit disinterested in handing them over last auction - for 110's. Didn't have them for quite a few, maybe they had them elsewhere.
Let you know tomorrow night.

OK - well just see how you go.
Would be good to see if the air-con works and if you can suss out if the winch works.
