- Click onto the Dsicovery 3 section (bottom left)
- **If it asks you for a code - dont worry about it - just 'fudge' all the fields to get into the Disco 3 website!! (eg: Mr: bjlkfb etc - worked for me!)**
BUT - (and obviously) put the correct details in when you are requesting the CD!!
Just follow the prompts and they'll send one out to you asap!! i hope!

Yay for me I got my new CD.

There are two types of people in this world, good and bad. The good sleep better, but the bad seem to enjoy the waking hours

For those that haven't seen the DVD (mine arrived courtesy of someone in a shining armoured Zook) here is a review:
Discovery Challenge
Nine tests with a Disco, Pajero, Grand Cheek, ML320 and X5. Remember, this is the UK, so no Cruiser (aka Amazon) or Patrol.
Slalom
The Disco wins as its ACE means less body roll. That was the sole criteria, and to be fair, probably the only objective one. But comments on the handling would have been nice.
Straight Line Braking
80kmph stop. Disco wins, which surprises me. I would have thought the X5 and ML would have beaten it, given they have probably got wider, more road-oriented rubber.
Adverse Camber
See "Slalom", just another win because of ACE.
Towing Capacity
No action, just a Disco win.
Traction
Interesting one. Put a vehicle on a slope with diagonal wheels on rollers, so no traction. Attempt to drive up hill, with traction control going nuts. The X5 failed, probably because it's centre diff isn't lockable. Merc wins, Disco second. Jeep cheats by sliding back off the ramp entirely then using momentum to complete. Pajero does badly. Neither the Paj nor the X5 looks as if sufficient amounts of right pedal were being applied.
Ramp over
Who can drive over a concrete ramp? Disco wins.
Crossing logs
Seems to be who can get over a set of logs the quickest. Merc and X5 fail. I don't get this one. Give me a Commodore and I'd beat the lot of them. Pajero wins, Disco second.
Articulation
Disco wins. Everything else waves wheels in the air.
Controlled hill descent
Disco wins. Unfair really, the others clearly were autos and not over-driving the brakes, so a moot test.
There's a bit more LR promotional footage on the DVD, such as the G4 Challenge, video about the Defender, Freelander etc. Most of the video footage is somewhat non-Tread Lightly; high-speed splashes, solo vehicle, road tyres etc. You get the idea. And it shows a Disco going through salt water along a beach at high speed. "But Mr Dealer, I saw it on this video, you have to honour the warranty!"
Are we talking about the same DVD??? wasn't that one fror the Discovery 2???
this one is the new model (isn't it).
