What's your primary reason for owning a 4WD?

Thought it might be interesting to see why you own a 4WD.

Some people are vehicle-oriented; they like to improve the vehicle, restore it, and don't mind what they do as long as it's extending the vehicle.

Others are activity oriented, and simply see the vehicle as a means of getting somewhere or doing something.

Most are a combination of both.

I'm there to tour and explore. I also enjoy competitions, and driving in general.

I love the "I wonder where that road goes- well, I'll find out..."

as opposed to the non-4wd'er who says "I can't go there or I might damage my car..."

Get out there and see it !!!

Being able to get to places others cant is always a good thing.

I was getting bored with just an ordinary car. All you seem to do with these new things is put petrol in them and drive them. I had all these tools from the days when I was a lad with beat up heaps of cr@p, and they were just laying around getting rusty. Then, I bought a Defender... talk about getting grease under your fingernails

I just like the exploring part. Going places where i normally can't go, and I hate walking too far.

The little stick! The little stick! I love stirring the little stick!

The one in the car! The one in the car!

I'm with Vlad - Let's explore. But stop exploring that track if you come face to face with a double barrel 12 guage...
