Hyundai offer very good warranties on their vehicles, so if you combined that with a fixed price servicing plan you could be on a good thing.
Ford Focus diesel is also a good thing.
How about a Peugeot? Excellent diesel motors.

Well it seems that the iPod connection didn't work, they are going to try a different cable, but are not confident it will work either, we bought an external bluetooth device in the meantime.

Does anyone know a list anywhere of small diesel manuals on offer (past 8-10 years).
So many of them are sold as auto/DSG only on the diesel version which is extremely annoying.
I found our manual by going into carsales and did it that way, pick the car (in our case Hatch, small), pick the fuel, then transmission, price and a whole range of models came up, all manual, diesel, hatches, Golf, Peogot, Holden, Ford, Hyundi, and so on.Quote:
