Yep. Nothing done here. It's pointless if it's expected.

Worth 10 times when it's a proper surprise for no particular reason.

    Happy Days

I wondered why there were so many couples at the pub ..and why people looked at me and laughed when I said I was taking a long lunch to go shopping in Fyshwick! (I was picking up a new OZTENT and grease-gun )

I don't particularly like going out on valentines day....we have the kids this year, I'm sure we will celebrate somehow whe they go to bed
I've never celebrated Xmas because I'm not sure when that's celebrated but I do know that Christmas is the 25th of December & as for Halloween that's just a relatively new thing in Oz too. Never heard of it when I was a kid.
    Cracker night....YES.

Halloween is my son's birthday. It is nice to see everyone now feels the need to celebrate with him.

Well ,inspired by this thread I decided to go all out...

I got my wifes favourite flower and headed into the bank where she works in our small town.

I lined up at her window like everyone else (there were 3 others working but I needed to be in this queue obviously) and it was the busiest time of the day.

I was nervous but eventually made it to the front of the line...

With a flourish as everyone seemed to be watching I gave her the flower ...... and she blew her top!

    She called me names!!

and then she chased me out of the bank.....

She hasnt talked to me since...

    I cant work it out,
I was all showered and dressed up,
I was all polite and nice
I waited patiently for my turn at the window...

I know its her favourite flower as she always buys "self raising"

I just cant work out where it all went wrong.... maybe I shouldve got LION Brand..

I don't do Easter, I begrudgingly am involved in Christmas, she might get something for Mother's Day, Halloween: what's that? New Years Eve means nothing to me (was in bed by 10pm for the last one). Hump Day?

Got a red rose, hid it overnight, sneaked up on her in the morning and gave it to her with a kiss. She was very happy. Then she told our Chinese visitor I never do Valentines Day!
