I had an old red Rangie once, my partner at the time called it "Wed Wover".
I called it "The Exon Valdez" for obvious reasons
All my other Landies were/are called "The Beast".

Ok.....
Basically we went over the landrovers and looked for anything that really stood out like a unique feature, a unit marking, a dint, a scratch that resembles nothing in particular....
The Series III was the most difficult to name, as there was nothing really unique other than the HQ 6 markings on the door, but nothing inspired me from looking at them.
Anyways - this is what I came up with for the 3 of them :
1. Series III G.S. (General Service) = "Get Stuffed" aka G.S.
2. Series 2A FFT (Fitted For Transceiver) = "Trannie"
3. Series 2A G.S. = "W.R.A.M" aka Wrecked Rusty Army Machine
"Get Stuffed": The comment I made when someone asked me if I was going to pull it apart and make it a hotrod..... Just love the reaction when I tell people to get stuffed when they ask the name of the landrover...
"Trannie" : Actually named by previous owner Eric and his mate Gary. Didn't think that changing the name was necessary so I stuck with it.
"W.R.A.M." : Basically sat down and started making things up on the spot. There was nothing unique about this truck except for the fact that it was found wrecked, rusty, and an Ex-Army machine....
