Hey Guys,

Well after reading this post and speaking to my 'L/R insider'.........

It is true!!!

the reason i have been told is that sales in Australia are SO poor that they were left with no choise but to ...yep....'run-out' the remaining ones left!!

IS THERE NO GOD!!! (not in this case :x )

Also, i have been told that there might be a SMALL discount put on the ones left ? (will confirm this as soon as i can) and how much the discount might be.

-small consolation!

I'll be back with more info as i get it!

such a sad day in the D90 world!

Cheers
Knight

I was hoping the missus would like a 90 to match the 110 (when I can afford one).

There is no god!!!! Will make the ones that are out there rather collectable though

never thought of it from that angle Phoenix....

hmmmm,
(rubbing my hands together....whilst plotting away in my head.......)

may just see if L/R want to sell their Silver promo one.....The one they had fully loaded with all the accessories that was at the motor shows at the end of last year!! (as it's been used for a press/promo car since then-so ive been told) - cant see the use in them keeping it now!

Shall put an offer to my insider and see what they can do for me on that one!

Gotta get back to it and dig deeper on this topic!

You'll all know as soon as i know!

Blimey!...

If these things start becoming collectable might have to stick our one in storage and pop out and get hold of a 110...hehehehe.

Seriously though...the marketing over here was probably one of the worse campaigns in living history,we went through merry hell trying to locate a dealer that had their sticky mitts on them, and dont even think of trying to get brochure blurb beforehand because it didnt exsist!!.

I mean in this case it wasnt that hard fellas.....I mean your not selling sand to the Arabs here....its not difficult....just a wee more effort and who knows..maybe...just maybe you would have sold a lot more.

when was the last time you saw ANY andvertising for a defender. About 4 years ago was the last time I saw anything, even longer since there was any kind of advertising campaign.

Last time I saw an advert for the D90....not an advert per se.

Ok was last year when we were ski-ing down Perisher there was a D90 on display by the main lift area...yeah great....but wheres all the blurb and brochures and dolly birds dishing out all the info about it??...nowhere!!

Great marketing LR.....superb......could learn some lessons from these guys

I have it from another source the 90's price is now $39,950 and there are *no* plans to stop importing them.

So that's 2 vs 1.

I'm inclined to think that the D90 is for the chop, myself.

Certainly it seems that if you wanted a D90, now would be a good time to buy it.

What do you reckon, sell our Astra and get a D90 so we have a 110 and a 90, that'd be 200 inches of Landrover!
