Traffic Mayhem

Coming back from the Sunny Coast this arvo there was a HUGE traffic jam. Caused as it turned out by a terrible traffic accident whereby a cattle truck had rolled into the roadside ditch. I think the driver was killed.

In any event, they were still cleaning up the mess (the accident had happend ay about 4am) thus the traffic slowdown.

What made it a real problem, though, was the 'gawkers' who were getting a good look as they cruised slowly past the scene, causing further delays for everyone behind.

You'd think they'd never seen a tip truck full of dead cows before...

Peoples morbid fasination with the dead or damaged is normally how more accidents will happen.
There are two types of people in this world, good and bad. The good sleep better, but the bad seem to enjoy the waking hours

Yep. I even wrote a poem about it once, but it may be a bit deep for this forum...

suffice to say that I was riding my motorbike (some years ago, when I had one) back to Brissie and there had been a terrible accident at blacksoil. Dead people in cars, blood on the road, you name it.

What really really really freaked me out, disturbed me and made me very p****d off were the ghoulish people who had hoisted their children onto their shoulders so they could get a better look :!:

I regularly work in this environment (unfortunately) and it still leaves me dumbfounded the lengths people will go to to get a "good look"
I have even been verbally abused by bystanders for blocking their "view"

Hi Guys
Must be a day for animals dying on the roads today. The town gardener had to go an collect a jack russell off albany hwy today and return it to its owner, apparently it was over a metre long. Not a nice cleanup job at all.Silly dog must have tried peeing on a roadtrains tyre as it drove by.
