converting the wife

after three and a half years of ML320 ownership and a previous driving history only in mercs, i'm wearing the missus down to get a disco.
the ML has turned out to be a bit of a money pit now that it's out of warranty and it's time to get rid of the piece of german/american crap and buy a real 4wd.
she's warming to the idea of a disco, the $24k difference in price has a lot to do with it.
i'll let you know how we go.

Good luck Barney.

Hope she doesnt like it too much but or she might keep it for herself

Hey Barney,

Well, what a task you have then.....convincing the missus.

Get your wife to have a look in here at all the WONDERFUL comments from all the Disco owners!!!
We all know that if you did buy one....She'll LOVE IT!!

Seriously...i am a 'she' and i truely LOVE them! (1 x relo and 2 x friends have one )- and i love having a drive in them when given the chance!!

(anyways....my parents own a Merc too...and yes, it has, and is still costing them a fair bit on the maintenance of that car  - i too am still trying to convince them to try out a Disco - and they're starting to give...gonna go with them for a test drive next weekend!!)

Good Luck with it!
Knight

My missus likes the Defender but luckily it won't fit in the car park at her work.

Having said that she dislikes old Rangies (so I can't get one) and would prefer a new Falcon to a Disco because "we already have one Land Rover".

Some people will never learn....
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

she's found a colour she likes, but we have to see what the accountant says. she also likes the 90 but can't drive a manual and wont learn, but thats ok, it keeps her from absconding with the yoot

Ha!...I can only drive my Rangie on weekends, my wife loves driving it. She loves the visability through all that glass and being up high.

Oh well, wait till it gets its new motor...then we will see who drives it more...

Have fun

Hi Vlad
If you prefer a falcon you should go for a AWD wagon, have had a sit in a couple, they are neat. With a bit of driving skill I would think they would go pretty good offroad.
