Paul, I'm sure you'll top the class. Don't be a stranger mate, all the best.![]()
Haven't been around here much so I just popped in for a quick hello.
Well I have just done a tally of Land Rovers I have owned.
- Def 110 Td5 2001 - traded in on
- Def 90 Td5 2005 - sold to 18 yo up Wangaratta way. (Lucky kid!)
- Series 2 Ute (1962? Model) - Beautiful original vehicle - needed a new chassis - sold to someone to restore but I saw it on ebay in bits
- Series 1 107 1955 - Olute - Beautiful vehicle - sold on.
- Sereis 2A Ute - Just parts really
- Series 3 Diesel 109 - Lovely van - too slow and noisy though. - Sold to a rich farmer as paddock vehicle.
- FC101 - Now moving on to a new home.
Left with:
1998 Disco1 LS V8 - I love it, but it is just too damn expensive to run. So it will soon go too.
So for the first time in 13 years I will be without Land Rover. Yes back to driving a Subaru. Lovely car but…...
I have also taken to running - which is a kind of weird mid-life crisis. Ran my first marathon last year. (Well walked the last couple of k's !!! ) Takes up a lot of my days but its a nice diversion!
Who knows, maybe a little 80" would suit me for a Sunday afternoon trundle.
Thanks for all your tips, friendship, arguments, and laughs over the last 6 or so years. I'll still pop in here to get my Land Rover fix but perhaps more as a lurk.
Special "shoutout" <--- I can use stupid words like that now Ron is not often here!!!

D@rk51d3 <-- you know, it too me 3 years to work out that said Darkside!
And from the past
Voldemort's Cooper,Vixen, Fusion.
and the rest. (Sung to the tune of Gilligan's Island - haha.)
I'd just like to say "Thank you, and I hope I passed the audition!"
(And if anyone was wondering, the answer to the "Stars" thread is 42)

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
That's alright, Sleepy. Subaru owners are almost LR owners.
You'd be surprised how many LR owners also have a Suby. We're on our third Forester. Obviously Subies aren't as good as Rangies as we've had our three in less time than I've owned the P38A.
Oh, go to a tattoo parlour and get tattooed onto your hand "A calender is a series of rollers for making paper smooth. A calendar is a bunch of dates."
You do realise that joining AULRO is a bit like going to Royston Vasey "You'll never leave".

Keep stopping by Sleepy, maybe we can help out with finding who stole your left leg.![]()
So can we run a book as to how long you will be without a Land Rover?
After 8 Land Rovers, I reckon about 8 months!! and then you will get evil thoughts again
dont be a stranger mate. make sure you Lurk and Lurk often![]()
