Rodriguez Cold Fact
Bit sad actually I suppose, I'm sitting alone in front of my oz-pig very slowly feeding wood into it, slowly sipping away at a very cheap nasty bottle of red. Have my iPhone next to me playing
Rodriguez and I couldn't be happier.
I've only met one other in Australia who knows of, let alone enjoys Rodriguez.
I saw the movie "Sugar Man" which explains why nobody else knows of him.
Does anyone else enjoy Rodriguez, or am I really alone here?

I think every living soul knows the line..."I wonder...if you've had sex..."
So you're really not alone.

You are not alone mate.
I had all 3 of his records back in the 1970's.
Kid brother and I saw him on stage his only Aussie tour (early 70's). He was so stoned he fell off his stool on stage.
Sitting alone on the patio with a Coopers Dark Ale, might even drag the old guitar out later and play some Rodriguez.
One of my favourites.

Only a couple of years ago he finally found out just how popular outside the US he really was. Not sure whether that's sad or lucky.
Jury is still out on that one.

Stupid iPhone. Can't play music and submit thread at the same time, or so I thought.
Went inside to get next bottle of crap wine, had a look on desktop aulro, saw all the responses,
I had no idea Rodriguez had toured Oz. The movie Sugar Man implied no recognition outside South Africa.

When all enjoy it, I love to go through the stereo, however to hear it at the oz-pig it needs to be loud enough that the kids inside whinge, and the neighbours who don't appreciate it would be subjected to my weird music taste.
I wish sometimes I could drink enough that I stopped caring about others and could just crank it up to enjoy it properly.
Won't happen tonight though, inside now to watch Australia Pakistan twenty20
