Your story just confirms my theory that nothing good ever comes from exercising, and I'm pretty sure I'll never have any issues cancelling a Gym membership...

Your thread had me thinking about the Gym Industry and how competitive it is, within the suburb I live in there are three (that's right three) gyms operating, one of them is one of those 24 hour places, another is a place for women and the other is just a general gym. One wonders how they stay in business.
You see them closing up all the time Jim.

Have got a bad servce magnet

    Hello All,

I consider myself to be a fairly reasonable person. Others no doubt may not agree with my interpretation of delusions that I may hold towards myself. Any way I do not go out looking for bad service or incite ineptness.

Today I specifically needed a couple of $20 notes and I only had $50 notes. So after I bought some groceries I specifically asked the checkout person for my change to include 2 x $20 & 1 x $10. Instead I was given 3 x $10 notes and 1 $20. Hmmmm

So I then waited in line at the get this term... "the Service Desk" within the same store and without walking out of its boundaries. Also with receipt and grocery bags in-hand. I waited for three people all of which had complex issues to sort out involving official paperwork and multiple receipts. When it was my turn I explained that I had requested specific change at the checkout and I was not given the configuration of change that I requested. I was told - "we do not open registers just to change money."

So I drove away from the shopping centre and went to a little small business Nanna"s Pantry and I bought some Macadamia Chocolate Clusters to console myself. I also asked if the lady could change my two $10 notes into a $20 note. There were no dramas at all and even a smile.

Kudos to Nanna's Pantry small business triumphs over one of Australia's big grocery chains.

I think I will stay home for a while now and stay away from the shops.

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

Don't quite understand, your $50 note was changed to smaller denomination notes, so what was the problem, was there a particular reason that it HAD to be one $10 note and two $20 notes???

Ha! Do it in reverse....cleanses the soul. Most banks can't or won't indulge your little container of 5c and 10c coins. Too hard or slow to count.

I quite often pay for that $3.20 or $1.95 item with 5c coins!
One young lady some time ago had to ring the bell for her superior because the 5c tray in her till was too full and she didn't know where to put them

Yes there was a 100% valid reason as to why I NEEDED and REQUESTED $20 notes otherwise I would not have given a rat's arse!!! Ooops that was not very diplomatic of me was it

I agree, my money box is one of those 20l Water bottles, and when it comes to emptying it, I tend to find the company who had annoyed me the most and go and buy something. Much more fun than counting it out into little bags for the bank! Here have a $7345.65 in coins...
I would love to walk in and put down a deposit on house or buy a car in coins, but might need a few more water bottles.
