I've just been looking at the HEMA maps website as we are heading north soonish and reckon it's about time we updated some maps. I bought the (?original) Great Desert Tracks map pack back in 2001 when it consisted of 4 maps, then added the extra 2 maps a few years later when it became a 6-map pack. It appears that the current version has 3 maps covering more area than the 6 maps in the pack that I have, plus one specifically covering the Simpson Desert area. Wondering if anyone has seen both versions of these maps, is the scale smaller than the older maps in order to fit twice the area on the sheet? Or are they bigger sheets? Is there as much detail as the earlier editions? Would be a bit disappointing if they have shrunk the maps too much.
