What are you trying to achieve ? The uneven interior would already act as a diffuser. The glass is a problem though, but there is enough other material to dull any reflection.

There are so many more issues to address in a car before getting to this level. You already have absorbers in headlining, seats, carpets and reflections in glass. But speaker placements (even today) are a compromise for quality (meeting manufacturers budgets) and location (practicality of interior).

For instance I can get you 110db+ in a RRC from 50w and 2 way splits and a single 12" sub thats premium quality but the car and road noise defeat it regardless without 400kg of deadening and you have to sit on the transmission tunnel and enter through the back doors.

Alternately I can do 80db of listenable quality that works around actually using the car and isn't as effected by road noise but requires more watts and associated equipment plus a 24band eq.

Exactly, back in the day I used to install head units and subs etc working for a company here in Melbourne. Doesn't matter how much you spend, how thick you make your gold OFC cables, a car is a harmonically nasty piece of work when trying to install sound systems. It will never work. It's just not practical.
