Its not that often a episode that i have not seen comes on but that was a good one it did come up nice. IMO i think edd china is one of the best spanner men on tv he does a bit of every thing. only thing that gets me is when mike tells you how much it all costs bloody cheap when you dont add in edds labour.other wise one of my favorite shows

Yeah, love the show, but agree that it is strange they don't account for any labour costs.

It's all for tv of course but ed would be better off without mike the tosser. Entertaining nevertheless. Good job they don't depend on the profits. The punter buying always seems to do alright. I'd buy one of their cars.
Loved the p38 episode. But also the kit ac cobra.

I reckon the best one was where the seller of a Jag would only sell at Mike's price if he have first option on buying it back.
What a deal, Mike paid him $5K (or whatever, can't remember), Mike and Ed spent 5K (?) on parts and paint repairing the Jag and the original owner bought it back for 10K (?), so for 5K out of the original owners pocket he got his fully restored Jag back free of Labour costs, which would have been up to 10K if he paid to have it fixed himself, BARGAIN, Regards Frank.

Think the point here in regard to labour costs is that they select cars where the work required is within the ability / budget of the 'home' mechanic hence labour is not part of the pricing.

Despite all the years they have been doing the series still manage to turn up interesting cars to work on. Think what keeps it interesting is in the terms of the show this does not mean exotic or specialist with mega budgets or concourse expectations.

Do enjoy this show - Seems to me it is the car version of all those cooking shows on TV.
