Glad to hear the wife's on the mend Andrew. Apart from the smoking though I can't say as I've seen too much dirt around the hospitals we've had a bit to do with over the last few years.
Mostly great staff at all levels but one nurse at Charlies absolutely stunk of fags and booze and used to get down the end of the corridor with patients for a puff.
The patients all had chest probs which says it all I suppose.
I don't think they're ever going to take firm action against those smoking in the open air as they get fired up (no pun intended) as soon as anyone dares say anything to them.
Bit like my local pub....no smoking inside of course so they stand right on the line of the open door so we still get it anyway.
Luckily I gave the filthy weed up well over 30 years ago but I'm suffering now for ever doing it and if I get a lung full from those outside the boozer it makes me puff horribly.
    That's life I suppose.....

Hey Andrew .................. did you manage to find that free parking spot that I told you about ????

I have to go back to Charlie's again myself in a couple of weeks, so will be looking to park there again myself if they haven't caught on and closed it off.
    Cheers .........

That's what we get when we vote for governments which are more concerned about cutting budgets than about looking after people.
I could tell some stories about Queensland Health, but I won't as it might get my relatives into trouble. Let's just say, if you think its bad from the outside looking in, be sure its a lot worse from the inside looking out.

Its gone Brian.Workers on The Childrens hospital park in the new multi-storey.
I think I own a floor after 3 weeks of parking there.
It was $42.00 a day to start with, wasnt until I asked about the $21.00 per day that they told me how to get around it.
If you park in the morning and leave for a time in the middle of the day it costs $21.00.What you must do is press reciept on the pay machine. When you return you will get charged another $21.00 for the rest of the day.On leaving you take your entry ticket from the second parking plus the reciept for the earlier parking to the carpark office. They then cancell the second ticket.
There is no discounted ticketing available for country people that cant rely on the public transport

Same everywhere, if they are not made to pay fringe benefits tax come into play.
