    Using the [img] tag

    Hey everyone

I'm in the late upload stages over in P38 land of a guide to lifting one (on airbags - of course). There's a few pics to go with it and I've been using the [img] tag (with its counterpart at the other end of course), but the images are not displaying when I hit "preview post". Have I attached too many pics or is there something I may have overlooked?

The images are hosted at various sites, including AULRO, but none display for me.

    Cheers

Use this instead click this symbol and copy and paste the image url http://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/editor/insertimage.gif in the box it brings up.

    Hi,
strange, I usually just type the image calling code, paste the image url, and then type the closing code.
I've got quite used to it now.

    e.g. (red=typed) (blue = pasted)

    Which of course shows:

Are you 'right clicking' on the desired image and selecting 'Copy image URL' ?

    cheers

Thanks fellas! I have been copying the URL from the address bar (has always worked in the past).

I put a post up today and it worked fine, I might try again with the post I'm wishing to make and see how it goes.

    Cheers

Just an update, I had another go with success last night. I'm thinking it's possibly due to the links being highlighted previously, the forum was recognising it as a link rather than an image. Once I cleared the highlighted link thingy (you know - when a link is underlined and turns blue), it came good. I was copy/pasting the links from a word document, probably the reason...

    Cheers
