Price of Petrol

Someone on TV the other night was saying they (whoever they might be) expect that the price of petrol in 3 years will be $3 a litre :!: 8O

Not only would this be the death-knell of the V8 but I'm sure if this were the case diesel would rise to the same price.

The cost of filling the tank in my Defender would increase from $60 to $180 :!: 8O and this gets me 600 km+ but that still makes it very expensive on a per kilometer basis. Wouldn't even want to do the matchs for a V8.

Scary stuff, but perhaps just scaremongering by the oil companies so when they put the price up to $1-50 we all breath a sigh of relief.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Hey Vladtepes ... look at the up side.....

If petrol is 3 times the price.... no one will want to drive the V8's any more... there will be a glut in the market and they will be really cheap...

Based on that assumption - I will be able to afford to buy lots more of them :!:

Maybe I couldn't afford to drive them... but they would look good in the shed ops:

I've got to admit....

The petrolhead deep inside that convinced me that I needed the V8 rather than the deisel ops:
