    ANOTHER SHARK ATTACK

I see another shark attack down near bega taking the total to 5 in the last 3 months. What a tragedy for the husband as he was not that far away on the beach. But i hope this will not turn into a shark hunt or a call for more nets or drum lines. As humans we take the chance when we step into their world so i don't feel the sharks should be killed for doing what nature has programmed them to do. These nets and drum lines kill a lot more than just sharks and should be totally outlawed. As a north Queenslander i know when i am chasing bait with my cast net i am in the crocs world and if something were to happen to me the last thing i would want is the croc to be hunted. And the amount of sharks that are killed every year at the hands of mankind compared to the amount of attacks is very one sided once the sharks are gone the ocean will die.

Its an assumed shark attack. They don't know what actually happened yet.

There is another WA shark incedent.
A diver went missing on saturday off the Dawesville Cut,Mandurah. His body has now been found, had been bitten by a shark.Until the autopsy is in they cant say if it was the cause of death. His dive buddies didnt see him go missing or see an attack.

Yes it is assumed, but with some fairly solid evidence. Both the swimmers and people on the shore saw a large shark. The swimmers headed back to shore, as you would, when they saw the shark. Also a witness alleges he saw the shark mauling some thing at the time of the disappearance. As already posted and I agree swim in the ocean and you take the risks.

On Kangaroo Island the penguins are disappearing because they are being eaten by seals. We have an apparent increase in shark attacks. Could it be that we have fished out the sea too much and the top predators are seeking other prey? Perhaps with fish being scarcer, humans become a more attractive and available target?
    Just a thought...
