They appear to have been painted/sealed on the inside so I presume they lweren't watertight (but then, what is?!) and a previous owner got sick of that. Not sure though...

I have little vents in the roof of the stage 1 that look like that maybe they were a op extra???? they look the same size

A Sub-woofer box was made that fitted next to the fuel tank and piped in through where the plate was.
Worked great, made the seat vibrate and blew all the dust off the passenger side floor.
