Another LR forum I use the swear filter is completely OTT.
Someone known as 'Dick' has to register as 'Richard'.
You can't live in 'S****horpe' either.

Not if you own a Land Rover anyway.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

The problem occurs when people try to self censor and type a letter and three asterisks or replace a vowel with an asterisk which prevents the swear filter from doing it's job but the word is easily worked out.
Just type the word, correctly spelled, with no spaces or special characters and let the swear filter do it's job and all will be fine.
Better still, don't use swear words altogether. You don't see me typing "Belgium".
Hmmmm...... That one is not in the filter.
Yup, I asked the same questions ages ago, and got this answer. As Mick said, if you feel the need to swear, then type it in and let the filter do its job. This thread has made me think tho... Perhaps I do swear a bit, so I'm going to make a conscious effort to stop all the bollocks of swearing from here on in!

Maybe so, but swear words are just as valid as non swear words. Given that swear words are largely a matter of opinion and the "good taste" of an era.

I was told it was generated, but written.(straightaway)
So am guessing there has to be someone sitting there (maybe) or a rooolly sophistimacated compooota system...........
Probably because I reported your post and a Mod acted upon it immediately.

Muppet should be mentioned in dispatches when it comes to a list of troublemakers.

Yes, and if I remember correctly, for quite a while after the Yalwal trip my name was "That bloke with the camper".
