Unhappy I'm a fleet owner again.

I said I'd never do it again but thanks to the AULRO outage of Easter '14, I had to resort to evilbay for amusement. I wanted to buy my daughter-in law a safe and reliable car to run my three grandkids about. My son insists on "modifying and improving" the family car.

There were two cars I was interested in but, of course, the most suitable finished a day after the other. I bought both.

The first is a late '90s Volvo 850 se, it will be wrecked or resold; happy to just recoup the cost.

The one I really wanted is a '02 Volvo V70 with fruit, I hope it's as good as it looks.

Have the Volvo come with the local bowling club membership?
Now seriously, how good are the V70 series?
Are nice to drive or are like the old 240 series, built like a tank but not a drivers car?

I'll let you know Chucky. What I liked about the 2 series was, as a motocycle riding truckie, I got away with heaps in the barely noticeable Volvo.

No self respecting 80 yr old lawn bowler would be caught dead with their bowling hat on the back seat of a Volvo, its always a camry

Not a big Volvo fan here, but yes, I'd love to find a tidy P1800 at a reasonable price.

Better still - an 1800 ES. Saw a very nice one in Fremantle a little while back.
    Cheers .........
