Thats it

I think that the RR was described as a hippopotamus at some point in the proceedings

It made a mockery of the merc and if I remember the reference to a hippo was after the RR was taken for a speed trial around the airport test track and the RACE CAR driver said it was the scariest drive he had ever had, obviously not a 4by driver.
Did you also see the results at the end, with all the sports cars they ran and the fact that the RR handled like a hippo, I think it still came 4th.

Hi Vladtepes, if I remember correctly it cost an additional 45,000 POUNDS to get a new Rangie to do that and for my money, I would prefer to watch everybody else doing it than spend that sort of money
( about $115,000 Aust I think )

Cost of new RR in Britain GBP60,000
Cost of Overfinch work GBP45,000
Total GBP105,000.

Todays exchange rate = 0.3884

Total cost in Australian Dollars :?:

$270,400 :!: 8O

That would buy a few Shelby Cobras and they handle better
